Meet Amanda
I’m a Sports Therapist based in Pebworth, working with active people of all ages who want to move better, feel better, and stay doing the things they enjoy for as long as possible.
From people in their 20s to their 80s, most of my clients simply want to stay mobile, independent, and free from the pain and stiffness that can get in the way of everyday life.
Whether that’s walking the dog, gardening, riding horses, running, keeping active at the gym, or just moving comfortably again – my goal is to help you get back to it.
My Journey into Sports Therapy
At the time, I had qualifications in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage, and I started working in a local sports massage clinic. What began as an opportunity to gain experience quickly turned into something much more meaningful.
Seeing the difference that hands-on treatment could make – helping people move more freely, recover from injury and feel better in their bodies – sparked a real passion.
It was during that time I realised I didn’t just want to work in this field… I wanted to develop my skills further and understand the body in much more depth.
When we returned to the UK, I made the decision to continue my training and complete my Sports Therapy qualification.
That step shaped the career I have today, and it’s something I’m incredibly glad I did.
My Approach
When you come to see me, I take the time to listen properly to what’s going on, understand your lifestyle, and assess how your body is moving.
Rather than just focusing on the area that hurts, I look at what might be causing the problem in the first place.
Every treatment is tailored to you and may include hands-on therapy, sports massage techniques, movement assessment, and rehabilitation exercises to support your recovery.
My aim is always the same: to help you move more comfortably and confidently, not just in the short term, but long term too.
Who I Work With
That includes:
Experience You Can Trust
This experience has helped deepen my understanding of performance, injury prevention and rehabilitation at the highest level.
However, whether someone is competing internationally or simply wants to walk without pain, my approach remains the same: personalised care, proper attention, and a focus on long-term results.
Life Outside the Clinic
Being around horses has been a constant part of my life and gives me a real understanding of the physical demands riding places on the body – something many of my clients relate to as well.
I also believe strongly in staying active myself. It helps me better understand my clients and reinforces the importance of movement for both physical and mental wellbeing.
